Meet your guide
I spent decades being the dependable one. Now I'm choosing what comes next.
I'm Jackie Rhodes. I spent more than 35 years in corporate accounting. I worked hard, solved problems for other people and still lay awake worrying about money. If anyone should have had it all figured out, it was me. I started The Recasting Company for women like me, who are smart, capable and tired of disappearing inside their own lives.
Here you'll get the truth without the lecture: honest numbers, practical next steps and the permission you've been waiting for.

About
Same woman. A brighter tomorrow.
I help women who have spent years taking care of everyone else make room for themselves and build a next chapter that is honestly their own.
I'm Jackie Rhodes, and I spent more than 35 years in corporate accounting. For decades I was the dependable one: the person who handled it, solved it and kept everything running. Somewhere in there, I set part of myself aside.
I started The Recasting Company because I know I'm not the only one. Many of us look fine from the outside and feel the distance between the life we have and the woman we might still become.
You don't have to pretend the past didn't happen. You keep the wisdom, release what no longer belongs to you, and choose what comes next on purpose. I'll be right there doing it with you.
A little more about me
I was born in Cleveland, Ohio, but I grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and I'm a warm-weather girl at heart. So of course, at 22, I moved back to the Cleveland area for a man. My real turning point came years later, when I decided to get out of Ohio. I finally admitted that I hate the cold, that the life I was living there wasn't right for me, and that I was allowed to leave and start over. That's when I started reclaiming my life.
I went to college because my parents wanted me to, and I spent more than 35 years in corporate accounting because it seemed like the responsible thing to do. It paid the bills. Somewhere along the way, I stopped asking whether it made me happy.
My husband is my best friend and my greatest supporter. Over the last 10 years we've flipped houses together, from Ohio to North Carolina to Georgia. When we were getting ready to leave Georgia, I broke down in tears. I realized I was really, truly done with corporate America: the stress, the long hours, the backstabbing. I took one more remote job when we got to Mississippi, and it was more of the same. That's when I decided to stop waiting and start building something different.
Today we live in the country on six acres, with cows and goats for neighbors. I share the place with four dogs, six barn cats and a flock of chickens, and I'm looking into raising pigs on pasture (bonus: less mowing!). I'd love to use our land to feed our family and give a couple to families nearby who could use a full freezer.
When we get a free weekend, my husband and I head to car shows with our classic car. Most of those shows raise money for charity, and giving back to the community matters to me. I've also loved ancient history and cultures ever since a college course long ago. I love to read, I love to learn and I love being outside. One day I want to stand at the ancient sites I've only seen in books and pictures.
Here's what I learned the hard way: the path someone else picked for you isn't the only path. I wish I'd tried something new 20 years ago, something that made me happy and not just money. I wish I'd had more faith in myself. I can't get those years back, but I'm going for it now. You only live once, and none of us is getting any younger.
That's why I started The Recasting Company. I want to help a million women go after their own goals, including the dream that's been in their minds since they were kids. I'm on this journey too, and I'd love for you to come along.
